Prange

Johannes Prange, an ordinary music teacher from Hamburg, discovers his new neighbor is an eccentric millionaire who has turned his garden into a private zoo featuring a llama. Their first meeting ends in a scandal over an alpaca that jumped the fence, but instead of mediating, the city council appoints them as co-organizers of the district festival. Prange, who longs for quiet to practice his piano études, is forced to collaborate with a man whose life philosophy boils down to, 'What's a neighbor for if you can't quarrel with him?' Their absurd partnership, filled with ridiculous situations—from searching for a runaway ostrich to negotiating with a choir of retirees—gradually reveals unexpected facets of both characters.
