An einem Tag im September

Anna, an archivist in Berlin, stumbles upon a 1938 diary in a university basement. Pages filled with trembling handwriting describe just one day—September 15th—through the eyes of a Jewish student who doesn't yet know tomorrow will change everything. Teaming up with historian Markus, she embarks on an investigation that leads them not only to forgotten city addresses but to a secret within her own family. Each recovered document, each deciphered line brings them closer to the moment when the past stops being a textbook and becomes a living, breathing reckoning. The film is based on real letters discovered in 2019.
