Lalith returns to his ancestral village after a decade in Colombo. His mother, Sarah, greets her son with silence — her eyes speak volumes where words fail. In the house where time seems suspended, a portrait of his father, lost in the civil war, watches over the family. His sister Priyangika cannot forgive his absence, while the local priest speaks of duty to the soil. Each evening, Sarah prepares curry from an old recipe, as if trying to recapture the flavor of a vanished childhood. Neighbors whisper that Lalith brought back not just a suitcase, but the shadow of the city. When the monsoon rains arrive, old wounds begin to seep anew. The film examines the chasm between tradition and modernity, between obligation and freedom, between who we've become and who they remember us to be.
