A motley crew of eccentric historical reenactors lands a government contract to stage a spectacular show for the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation. Their ambitious goal is to recreate the pivotal events of August 15, 1945, with maximum authenticity and scale. But their plans quickly unravel as the budget evaporates, amateur actors confuse historical dates, and their primary sponsor turns out to be a descendant of a Japanese collaborator. Forced to improvise, the team must blend patriotic fervor with sheer absurdity to salvage the project from total disaster and avoid national humiliation.
