Kushta Mayn, la mia Costantinopoli
Arman returns to Istanbul, the city of his childhood, which he left decades ago. On the old streets of Beyoğlu, memories come alive: the scent of cardamom coffee, the sounds of Greek rebetiko from a café, the shadows of long-gone neighbors. He searches for traces of his Armenian grandfather, whose workshop was once the heart of the neighborhood. Meeting Leyla, the daughter of an old friend, turns his personal journey into a dialogue about memory and loss. This 2025 documentary drama explores nostalgia and cultural identity through a personal lens, where the past is not just remembered but relived at the crossroads of streets and destinies.

🎬 MovieFinder's Take
The director constructs the narrative through delicate editing of archival footage and contemporary shots, creating a sense of coexisting temporal layers. The camera often follows the protagonist from behind, as if observing his internal search from a distance.
Those who appreciate slow, cinematic essays on memory will find a poignant reflection on what remains when places change beyond recognition. — MovieFinder Editorial
