Jerry, a perennial loser with outsized dreams, stumbles into possession of a contract that could upend the local business scene. His clumsy attempt to broker the "big deal" immediately draws the attention of the street's actual sharks. Instead of instant fortune, the hapless fellow is swept into a whirlwind of absurd misunderstandings, where everyone from a sidewalk vendor to a stern banker is determined to outsmart him.
