Alexei returns to his native village after a decade away, finding ruins and silence instead of nostalgia. His father, Nandauri's last resident, refuses to leave the house that has become a fortress against time. Each day is a ritual of survival among abandoned streets where echoes of the past are louder than any word. An encounter with a woman from a neighboring settlement cracks this isolation, forcing Alexei to choose between duty and escape. Their dialogues are not conversations but exchanges of silence.
