Journalists and media pundits, once heralded as an independent 'fourth estate', have openly transformed into market evangelists and guardians of the social order. Inspired by Paul Nizan's 1932 pamphlet, the film dissects the machinery of modern propaganda with sardonic precision. It exposes the dangerous symbiosis between major industrial groups listed on the Paris Stock Exchange and the production of information, now perverted into mere merchandise. The camera reveals how mass media, under the guise of objectivity and pluralism, actively safeguards the interests of the ruling class, claiming a democratic opposition it does not practice.
