Haroun - Seuls
Haroun, a young Parisian with Moroccan roots, wakes up in his apartment to find the entire city deserted. He is the only person left in Paris. Instead of panic, he is overcome by a childlike joy at this unexpected freedom. He wanders the empty streets, walks into closed shops, and savors the silence. Soon, however, the fun gives way to boredom, and then to anxiety. Where is everyone? And more importantly, why is he alone? This 2025 comedy explores the theme of loneliness in the age of hyper-connection through a lens of absurdity and gentle irony. The director turns an apocalyptic scenario into a personal story about finding oneself when there is no one left to look to.

🎬 MovieFinder's Take
The director employs a minimalist visual language, framing shots to emphasize the contrast between the scale of the empty city and the tiny figure of the protagonist. Long takes and almost documentary-style filming create a sense of reality within this absurd situation.
Those who appreciate quiet, observational humor will find a thoughtful exploration of modern isolation. What lingers is a subtle, reflective mood rather than loud laughs. — MovieFinder Editorial
