Hubbard Street

Jacob returns to his hometown of Hubbard Street after ten years to sell his parents' house. The first thing he sees is the local sheriff, thoughtfully chewing a donut on the police station porch. "You know they don't like outsiders here," he says without looking up. But Jacob isn't an outsider; he's just been away too long. The town has developed some peculiar traditions in his absence: every full moon, the residents gather on the outskirts to watch the local butcher process... something large. And everyone acts like it's completely normal. When Jacob's last childhood friend disappears, he must untangle a web of petty crime, absurd humor, and the horror hiding behind neighbors' smiles. The deeper he digs, the more he realizes: to survive, he'll have to play by their rules.
