Max, a ten-year-old inventor, blends everything he can find in the fridge to create 'the real sports drink.' His exasperated older sister Lisa accidentally takes a sip. The next day, her skin emits a faint green glow, and the family cat gains the ability to speak in sarcastic quotes from old movies. Their work-absorbed parents remain oblivious until the neighbor's boy, after trying the 'Gatorade,' starts levitating over the flowerbed. Panic erupts in the quiet suburb when local birds that sampled the spilled concoction begin singing choruses from 80s musicals. Max and Lisa must find an antidote before their creation alters the local food chain and the talking cat runs for mayor.
