Marcos, a biology teacher in a provincial school, finds his sole solace—Sunday mushroom foraging trips—under threat. A new developer plans to clear his beloved forest for an elite cottage community. In desperation, Marcos devises a mad plan: he declares the forest honey fungi to be sacred mushrooms of an ancient cult that never existed. His only allies are eccentric retired botanist Rosa and her gamer grandson. Together, this odd trio launches a campaign to save the woods, involving fake rituals, viral TikToks with "prophecies," and an unexpected alliance with the local bar drunks. The more absurd their methods become, the more seriously they are taken by a growing number of people, including the developer himself.
