Where is My 15 Minutes
Wang Dawei and Chen Dexing, two inseparable friends from a sleepy Taiwanese town, are convinced fame is their destiny. Their road to stardom, however, doesn't begin on a red carpet but at a local talent show where the grand prize is a basket of eggs. Dawei, toiling at his family's noodle shop, sees it as an escape from monotony. Dexing, a perpetual interviewee for jobs he never gets, hopes it will finally prove his worth. Their absurd rehearsals in an abandoned factory, attempts to craft a hit song with three chords, and encounters with the harsh reality of show business—represented by a single, cynical promoter—weave into a genuine 2025 comedy about friendship, naive ambition, and how real recognition often comes from the most unexpected corners.

🎬 MovieFinder's Take
Director Lin Manhui constructs the narrative on the contrast between grotesque, almost clownish situations and sudden moments of quiet, human melancholy. The camera often remains static, observing the protagonists from a distance, as if they were exhibits in a museum of provincial life.
What lingers is a warm yet slightly bittersweet aftertaste—a mix of nostalgia for simplicity and the understanding that growing up is rarely glamorous. A quiet gem for those who appreciate irony and aren't afraid to laugh at themselves. — MovieFinder Editorial
