Hot Buffet

Ali runs a modest kebab stall in an Istanbul backstreet. His world is an endless stream of customers, complaints about sauce, and arguments over prices. When the city council announces plans to demolish the entire neighborhood for a new business center, Ali and his motley crew of neighboring shopkeepers form the most absurd coalition. Their weapons aren't political slogans, but free portions of kebabs for journalists and 'accidental' power outages at the town hall. This tale of small-scale resistance with a big appetite unfolds against the backdrop of frying onion smells and the sounds of an oriental bazaar.
