Marcus, an amateur entomologist, discovers a colony of mutated centipedes in the basement of an old house. His attempts to exterminate the insects backfire when the creatures begin displaying signs of collective intelligence. Neighbors vanish one by one as the town declares quarantine. Marcus's investigation leads him to forgotten 1970s experiments where biologists crossbred insects with human DNA. Now the centipedes don't just hunt—they set traps using their victims' remains as bait. The only way to stop the infestation is to locate the queen hiding within the city's sewer system.
