The Marks

Mark, a forty-year-old accountant with impeccable handwriting, discovers his signature appearing on bizarre documents all over the city. It starts with flyers for missing cats, then escalates to contracts for exotic fruit imports. As he tries to trace the source of the forgery, he’s pulled into an absurd chain of events where each new “autograph” alters his reality. His colleague Olga, a detective novel enthusiast, sees it as a thrilling mystery, while the HR manager suspects a hidden talent for fraud. The farce gradually morphs into a question of identity: who are you when your name lives a life of its own? Balancing dark comedy with philosophical parable, the film explores how a tiny personal detail can become the epicenter of collective madness.
