Yakushima's Illusion

Mariko returns to Yakushima Island after a decade in Tokyo. Her father, an old master craftsman of traditional drums, is dying, leaving his final instrument unfinished. Instead of an expected inheritance, Mariko finds only a diary with cryptic sketches and faded notes about an 'illusion' her father sought in the island's ancient forest. The locals whisper about a family curse, while a young eco-guide named Takumi offers help, concealing his own connection to her father's secret.
