Junior

Johnny, a 45-year-old engineer, finds a box of childhood drawings in his old basement, signed with a name he has never used. Each sketch depicts a scene from his life that hasn't happened yet. As these predictions begin to manifest with unsettling accuracy, Johnny returns to his hometown, where his 70-year-old mother, now battling dementia, calls him by the very name from the drawings. Their attempt to piece together fragmented memories uncovers a family secret tied to the disappearance of Johnny's older brother three decades prior. The film examines intergenerational trauma, the fluidity of time, and how unspoken histories continuously reshape the present. The director employs a minimalist visual palette where past and present intertwine through recurring compositional motifs.
