On Summer Sand
Yukiko returns to her seaside hometown after many years away. She rents a room in an old house where each morning begins with the sound of waves and seagulls. At a local café, she encounters Takeshi, a quiet fisherman who remembers her as a girl. Their accidental meetings on the deserted beach slowly evolve into silent walks along the water's edge. This 2025 drama explores themes of memory, loss, and the impossibility of returning to the past. The sand, warmed by the summer sun, holds the imprints of bare feet that are washed away by the next tide. The town lives at its own pace, unaware of the inner storm raging within Yukiko. She tries to gather the fragments of her childhood but realizes some things are forever carried out to sea.

A quiet gem for those who appreciate a deliberate pace and the poetry of the mundane. What lingers is a faint, salty tang of melancholy. — MovieFinder Editorial
