Hello Cubans

Agnès Varda captures Cuba in 1963—an island pulsing to the rhythm of a new socialist reality. Through 1,500 black-and-white photographs, selected from 4,000 shots, a portrait of a people at a historical crossroads emerges. This photo-montage film weaves together the faces of workers, dancers, students, and revolutionaries into a living fresco.
