I Am Kirishima

Kirishima doesn't show up for volleyball practice. His sudden disappearance, like a stone dropped in water, sends ripples through the entire high school. Team captain Hisashi tries to maintain appearances, film club director Makoto sees it as material for his movie, and the school beauty Rika just waits for a call. Every day, every class, every hallway whisper is now tinted by one person's absence. While some build theories, others begin to notice cracks in their own perfect worlds. The film examines the social ecosystem of a Japanese high school through the lens of a single vacancy, turning an ordinary school day into a tense study of hierarchies, expectations, and how one empty space can shift the balance of an entire microcosm.
