Kishkindhapuri

Krishna, a Bangalore software engineer, travels to his ancestral village after a cryptic call from his grandmother. He finds not a welcome, but silence, overflowing paddy fields, and whispers of an ancient curse tied to a dilapidated temple on the village edge. The locals speak a mix of Telugu and Sanskrit, their smiles seeming rehearsed. As children begin to disappear, and Krishna discovers his true birth name in old family records—given at midnight—the line between myth and reality dissolves. His only ally is the village's perpetually drunk constable, who believes evil can be appeased with slapstick comedy routines. The rituals grow more absurd, the threat more tangible with each passing day.
