Marcell, a forty-year-old teacher from Bucharest, receives an unexpected inheritance—an old house in his native village. His wife Ana, tired of city life, sees it as a chance for a fresh start. "Can't we just try? At least for the summer?" Her argument proves decisive. Moving to the countryside unleashes a series of absurd situations: a neighbor who believes he's descended from Roman legionaries, a local priest organizing underground cockfights, and the forgotten tradition of "țăndări"—nighttime gatherings fueled by gossip and plum brandy. Gradually, the unfamiliar world becomes their own, and the ridiculous turns tender.
