Compostelle
Pierre, a forty-year-old accountant from Lyon, suddenly decides to walk the Camino de Santiago. Without a word to his wife, he simply walks out of his office and boards a train. His gear consists of a cheap supermarket backpack and sneakers that give him blisters by the second day. Along the way, he meets strange fellow travelers: a German widow searching for meaning after her husband's death, a Spanish student running from debt, and a French priest who believes more in wine than in God. This 2026 dramedy turns a spiritual pilgrimage into a series of absurd and touching situations, where each step is less about reaching a shrine and more about escaping one's own routine.

🎬 MovieFinder's Take
The director employs static shots and long takes to emphasize the monotony of the journey and the character's inner solitude. The dialogue feels natural, almost like overheard conversations of real pilgrims.
Perfect for when you want to escape without leaving the couch and laugh at the search for higher meaning in mundane discomforts. — MovieFinder Editorial
