Ángel, a former police officer, receives a call from his old partner who vanished three years ago. The voice on the line sounds eerily familiar, but the message chills him to the bone: "They didn't die. They came back." Teaming up with Laura, a journalist investigating a series of unexplained disappearances in the suburbs, Ángel descends into a maze of urban legends and government secrets. Every clue points to an abandoned research lab on the city's outskirts, where the line between life and death was erased. As they get closer to the truth, the duo realizes they're not dealing with people, but with something that learned to mimic them perfectly. The authorities are doing everything to cover up a failed experiment, and the "reborn" begin hunting those who know too much.
