The Kiss of the Grasshopper

Marta, a biologist from Berlin, returns to her native Austrian village after her father's death. She hopes to quickly sell the house and forget the past, but her mother's old diary reveals a family secret tied to the local legend of the "grasshopper's kiss." The deeper Marta delves into her investigation, the more she realizes her own life is merely an echo of an untold story. In the silence of the Alpine meadows, past and present begin to intertwine, forcing the heroine to choose between escape and accepting her true destiny. The film explores themes of heredity, ecology, and personal identity through the lens of magical realism.
