🎬 MovieFinder's Take
The film constructs its comedy on the gap between romanticized myth and mundane reality, relying on this dissonance to generate a series of escalating gags and chaotic scenarios. It explores the absurd lengths a community will go to preserve a profitable fantasy.
What lingers after the final reel is the charm of a simple, well-executed farce where everyone is in on the joke except the protagonist. A delightful reminder of cinema's early comedic roots — MovieFinder Editorial
