Azriel, a devout and timid fruit seller in Jaffa, lives a quiet, pious life. His identical twin, Gavriel, is a hustler and small-time con artist running a snooker hall, where he and his partner Hanuka swindle gullible patrons out of their money. Their separate worlds violently collide when Gavriel's debts to a local gangster spiral out of control, forcing him to seek help from the brother he has long ignored. A chaotic scheme unfolds, pitting Azriel's gentle faith against Gavriel's street-smart cunning in the gritty underbelly of 1970s Tel Aviv.

🎬 MovieFinder's Take

The film is a clever, energetic comedy that uses the twin brothers' dichotomy to explore themes of identity, faith, and survival. Its humor stems from sharp character clashes and the absurdity of their escalating predicament, all delivered with a distinctly local flavor.

What lingers after the final rack is the affection for its flawed characters and the vibrant, unsentimental snapshot of a time and place. The comedy feels authentic, born from desperation and resilience. — MovieFinder Editorial
