Orenda

Alexander, a Moscow architect, inherits a derelict house in a Karelian village. Arriving with his teenage daughter to settle the paperwork, he plans a quick sale but instead finds himself enveloped by the forest's silence and the rhythms of local life. An elderly neighbor living by ancient codes and a teacher who knows every forest path gradually shift his perspective. Tensions with his city-yearning daughter escalate when Alexander discovers the diaries of the house's previous owner—an artist who vanished in these same woods forty years prior. The decision to sell transforms from a mere transaction into a choice between legacies, forcing Alexander to confront what he's building and what he's leaving behind.
