Starting Quarterback

Jackson Hayes, a college football star, suffers a career-threatening injury right before the championship game. His doctors bench him, but his coach devises a ludicrous scheme: Jackson must remotely quarterback the team using a hidden earpiece and camera, while a struggling actor impersonates him on the field. This 2025 action-comedy turns sports drama into chaotic farce, where every play risks exposure. From the back of a van parked outside the stadium, Jackson calls audibles while his "body double" on the field tries not to collapse on first contact. The conspiracy spirals with absurd additions: a bribed commentator, a suspicious girlfriend, and an FBI agent convinced he's witnessing a domestic terror plot.
