After Typhoon

Li Cheng, a meteorologist on Hainan Island, has spent years recording typhoon data. His life is charts, warnings, and the silence of the lab until an unexpected call from the past disrupts the routine. An old friend he hasn't seen in a decade asks to meet on the day a new cyclone approaches the coast. Their conversation in a near-empty cafe, with the wind howling outside, reveals not a weather forecast, but a forecast of their own lives—missed opportunities, unspoken words. As the storm intensifies, they realize some tempests come not from the ocean, but from memory. The film explores the fragility of human connections against relentless natural forces, questioning what matters more: predicting disaster or weathering it together.
