Milton, a retiree in a quiet town, finds a crashed spaceship in his backyard and its sole passenger — a silent alien he names Jules. Rather than alert the authorities, Milton decides to hide the visitor in his garage, gradually drawing two neighbors, Sandy and Joyce, into the secret. Their odd quartet forms an unexpected friendship that challenges the routines of aging, loneliness, and small-town boredom.
