Dear Family
Nobumasa Tsuboi operates a modest factory in a quiet town, his world anchored by his daughter Yoshimi, who lives with a congenital heart defect. A doctor's grim prognosis—she may not live past twenty—shatters the family's fragile peace. Refusing to accept this fate, Nobumasa and his wife Yoko confront an impossible reality. With no medical background, the determined father embarks on a solitary, desperate quest, poring over textbooks and diagrams to understand artificial hearts, driven by a love that defies both time and science.

🎬 MovieFinder's Take
The film frames a father's love not as mere emotion, but as a formidable, almost physical force that compels a layman to challenge medical dogma. The quiet scenes of study, lit by a lone desk lamp, carry a profound weight.
What lingers after the credits is a resonant question about the limits of devotion and the extraordinary lengths of ordinary love. It's a testament to resilience that feels both intimate and immense. — MovieFinder Editorial
