Boxcutter

Jake, a former musician, now works in a warehouse. His hands, once playing guitar, now only cut cardboard. One day, he finds an old cassette player with a demo tape from an unknown band. That sound becomes an obsession, driving him to dig through archives and question old sound engineers. Meanwhile, his teenage daughter records her first track on a phone, unaware her father once dreamed of the stage. Their worlds are separated by decades and layers of dust, but music becomes a bridge. Jake's investigation turns into a journey through forgotten studios and encounters with people whose dreams also remained on magnetic tape. The film explores how creativity can be buried but never truly dies, and how one accidental discovery can rewrite a personal history.
