Chaos and Silence
Marta, a violinist from Berlin, receives a letter from her father, whom she hasn't seen for twenty years. He is dying in a quiet Alpine village and asks her to come. Instead of the expected farewell, she finds her father alive but having completely renounced speech. His silence becomes a wall that Marta tries to breach with the music he once hated. The village, frozen in time, and its taciturn inhabitants observe this strange duel. Gradually, the father's silence begins to resonate with her own inner chaos—unspoken resentments, unplayed melodies, a life built on escape. This Austrian-German project explores how the loudest truths often reside in what remains unsaid.

🎬 MovieFinder's Take
Director Leo Wachter constructs the film on the contrast between intimate, almost documentary-style filming in the village and the sudden, sharp flashes of Marta's Berlin life, captured with handheld urgency. This visual dissonance becomes the picture's primary language.
Anyone ready for a narrative where quietude transforms into a dense, almost physical entity will find a profound exploration of the space between notes, where the oldest wounds find their resolution. — MovieFinder Editorial
