Marko, an ordinary guy from rural Serbia, receives an unexpected job offer — to become a professional mourner at funerals. His new boss, a cynical entrepreneur, sees death only as a business opportunity. "You're not just crying, you're creating atmosphere," he instructs Marko, sending him on his first assignment. Soon, the protagonist discovers that his artificial grief evokes more genuine emotions in people than their own lives. The film explores the absurdity of modern labor through the lens of the oldest profession, turning funeral rituals into a platform for social satire. Director Marko Đorđević balances black comedy with subtle melancholy, painting a portrait of a society where even sorrow has become a commodity.
