Hyenas

Linguère returns to her impoverished hometown of Colobane after decades of absence. She is no longer the destitute young woman who was once exiled; she is now the wealthiest person on the planet. Her arrival is a calculated move. She offers the townspeople unimaginable riches, enough to solve all their debts and dreams, in exchange for a single, terrible act: the life of Draman, the shopkeeper who wronged her, betrayed her love, and orchestrated her downfall. The community, seduced by the glitter of her wealth, begins a grotesque moral unraveling.
