A guileless villager, whose heart is set on marrying the girl next door, realizes his humble rural earnings will never fulfill his dream. Thrust into the harsh economy of the city, he reluctantly descends into the criminal underworld, viewing it as the only viable shortcut to prosperity. His objective remains steadfast: amass enough cash to return home and secure his future with a wedding. Yet, each successive scam and swindle pulls him deeper into a cycle of deception, complicating his simple ambition and forcing him to navigate a moral landscape where every gain comes with a hidden cost.
