Dismantling a Dream

1977 · 27 min Documentary

A Labour government imposing cutbacks on the National Health Services is the theme of Dismantling a Dream. Pilger recalls the establishment of the NHS in 1948 and Health Minister Aneurin Bevan’s declaration that the “silent suffering” of the old, young, chronically sick and handicapped had no place in a civilised society. But, in December 1976, an official report revealed that thousands of children who could be saved were dying.

Dismantling a Dream is an acquired taste at 0.0/10. We recommend checking the trailer and synopsis before diving in.

Not every film is made for everyone. Read the synopsis, watch the trailer — you'll know right away if it's for you.

A classic from 1977. They don't make them like this anymore — which is exactly why you should watch it. Best for: genre fans and those open to something unconventional.
