🎬 MovieFinder's Take
The film constructs a delicate narrative that relies on the sun-drenched setting of La Goulette to explore the intersection of personal awakening and cultural tension. It builds its drama not on grand events, but on the subtle cracks in friendship and family under the pressure of changing desires.
What lingers after the final frame is a bittersweet sense of a specific time and place, where innocence was both lost and preserved. Those who tire of simplistic coming-of-age tales will find nuanced layers here. — MovieFinder Editorial
