The Red Thread
A young girl, as if in a dream, recounts the timeless myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. Heartbroken, the legendary musician descends into the Underworld to retrieve his beloved, who perished from a snake's bite. His magnificent lyre playing moves Hades himself, who grants Eurydice's release under one strict condition: Orpheus must not look back at her during their ascent. At the very threshold of the living world, with trees and light in sight, he turns—and she vanishes forever into the darkness.

🎬 MovieFinder's Take
Le Fil rouge is a meditative exploration of an archetypal tale about love, loss, and human fallibility. The film treats the myth as a living tissue of memory, where past and present intertwine in the narrator's hushed recounting.
What lingers after the final frame is the profound sense of an ancient, tragic contract—the unbearable weight of a single glance. It's a reminder of the stories that shape our understanding of desire and its consequences. — MovieFinder Editorial
