Haşmet, who works as a civil servant in an office, lives a middle-class life with his family. A young man who works in the accounting department of the office proposes to Haşmet's daughter Nesrin. However, Nesrin has become pregnant after entering into a relationship with a wealthy man who promised to marry her. When the man disappears, Nesrin is forced to have an abortion. She goes to a woman named Necla for this purpose. During this time, Nesrin runs away from home on the day a suitor is supposed to visit.
