Little Jaffna

Raja, the owner of a modest grocery store in London's Tamil Ham district, sees the same thing every day: neighbors, spices, debts. "You think you can just live here?" he asks his new assistant as they stack jars of curry. But the calm of the neighborhood nicknamed "Little Jaffna" is deceptive. When Raja's son disappears due to a debt to a criminal syndicate, he must single-handedly confront a system where the law is silent and the lines between accomplices and victims are blurred. This is not a story of revenge, but of the price of silence in a closed community where everyone knows each other's secrets but chooses to keep them. The film explores the fragility of an immigrant idyll built on compromises and shows how far an ordinary person can go to protect the little he has left.
