The Islanders

Marta, a thirty-year-old pharmacist in a provincial town, accidentally discovers her dull life is the result of a decades-long experiment. "You're not a person, you're a side effect," a stranger on the train tells her. Instead of panicking, Marta decides to use this information, beginning to sabotage her own existence in the most inventive ways. Her rebellion against predetermination turns into an absurd comedy where each new day is a chance to break the system's rules. Gradually, her actions attract the attention of a mysterious organization monitoring the experiment, and an ordinary pharmacy becomes a battlefield for the right to chaos.
