Decalogue V

Jacek, a detached young taxi driver, navigates the grey streets of Warsaw, his cab a confessional for the fleeting secrets of strangers. His existence is a hollow routine, punctuated by the mechanical rhythm of the meter and cold glances in the rearview mirror. Elsewhere, Piotr, a weary idealist and lawyer, prepares to defend an unknown client, unaware of the profound collision course their lives are on. Their trajectories converge around a brutal crime, forcing a stark examination of justice, retribution, and the value of a human life in a system where cold law meets raw, human anguish.
