Extreme Family
Ok-hee just wants to sleep. Her mother, the owner of a small snack bar, has other plans — her daughter must get married immediately. "You're not getting any younger!" This refrain echoes daily, turning Ok-hee's life into an absurd marathon of blind dates. She works at a bookstore, dreams of peace and quiet, but instead faces awkward encounters, intrusive advice from relatives, and perpetual guilt. The situation peaks when her mother begins to suspect a secret lover. In desperation, Ok-hee hires an actor to play the perfect fiancé. This small lie triggers a chain of unpredictable events, forcing the heroine to question what she truly wants — to meet expectations or finally find her own voice.

🎬 MovieFinder's Take
The directorial approach walks the line between situational comedy and subtle social drama, favoring observation and gentle humor over grand statements.
Those who tire of loud farces will appreciate the quiet precision with which it dissects the weight of familial expectations. What lingers after the laughter is a poignant, recognizable ache. — MovieFinder Editorial
