Malevych

Kazimir Malevich stands before a vast white canvas. Paris, 1927 — his first foreign exhibition should be a triumph, but Soviet authorities see his art as a threat. Instead of recognition, the artist receives an order to return to the USSR, where interrogations, bans, and persecution await. The film spans the last decade of Malevich's life: from attempts to preserve the avant-garde legacy to the forced return to figurative painting under systemic pressure. This is a story not only about a creator but about the price of freedom in a totalitarian state where art becomes an ideological battlefield. The viewer witnesses how famous Suprematist compositions were born and how they were condemned to decades of oblivion.
