Black Angels

A celebrated singer and his beautiful wife, a white couple basking in social privilege, are stunned when their daughter is born with dark skin. Consumed by shame and societal prejudice, the mother recoils, directing her blame onto her husband. The child grows up in the shadow of this rejection, her childhood defined by the chilling indifference and cruelty of the one person meant to offer unconditional love. Each glance from her mother becomes a fresh wound.
