🎬 MovieFinder's Take
The film constructs a poignant narrative around the clash between transformative education and institutional stagnation. It relies on the stark contrast between Conroy's passionate, unconventional methods and the oppressive rigidity of the system, exploring the deep scars of segregation and poverty.
What lingers after the credits is a mix of frustration at systemic injustice and admiration for resilient hope. A sobering reminder of the battles fought in forgotten classrooms. — MovieFinder Editorial
