🎬 MovieFinder's Take

The film constructs its narrative on a charming juxtaposition: a ridiculous, harmless lion set against the genuine menace of greedy poachers. Director Andrew Marton crafts a classic family adventure, where comedic scenes with Clarence give way to tense chases through African locales.

Those who tire of cynical plots will find solace in this unassuming, good-natured tale. What lingers after the credits is the warmth of its simple message and the memory of a cross-eyed lion whose heart is bigger than his predatory instincts. — MovieFinder Editorial
